AOBA and ARI
The Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association and The Alpaca Registry Inc. are two separate entities, vitally important to the United States Alpaca Business. The ARI is a scientific body that does blood typing and keeps pedigree records for all alpacas who are registered and producing in the USA. ALL OF THE CRESCENT MOON RANCH ALPACAS ARE ARI REGISTERED. AOBA on the other hand handles our Association membership. It`s primary responsibilities are the promotion of the alpaca (marketing), the show division, and membership needs. Crescent Moon Ranch is a member of both AOBA and ARI and has been since we bought our first alpacas. We have also supported our industry by donating alpacas to be sold with all proceeds going to AOBA as well as participating as Platinum Benefactors since the inception of the Benefactor Program in 2006.
