A stunning son by Copenhagen, Crescent Moon’s Marquis had it going on from day one. Excellent bone with absolute coverage and a very pleasing head forced your eye to notice him in the pastures. As he grew he only got better and better. His fleece developed into a roan/dark rose gray that was 14 micron at about nine months of age and delivered a breathtaking high frequency, moderate amplitude design that looked like a zipper. Eventually he was ready for the ring and show he did. Championships and accolades followed him wherever he went. Since his birth, his mother has produced two gray alpacas, so we are comfortable that Marquis will own a nice niche in our gray breeding program. If we were to put a picture up in lights, of a very pleasing alpaca, we would have no problem selecting, Crescent Moon’s Marquis.
